I have a deep hatred for peanut butter and all its bi-products. Its thick consistency makes it feel as if you have a wad of cotton in your mouth.

I bet your wondering what my personal hatred for peanut butter has to do with figurative art. You’d be half way right in assuming absolutely nothing. Enter Jon Diesta, Concept Artist, who oddly enough shares my extreme dislike of peanut butter.

Diesta a 2005 Graduate of CalArts, is currently working as a Concept Artist for Disney Interactive Studios out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Looking at some of his 5-10 minute gestures you can see a real understanding of anatomy and structure, is as to be expected. Diesta not only brings life to each study, but succeeds in articulating a sense of gesture and pose.

I invite everyone to head over and check out more of his work at jondiesta.blogspot.com
